Our Programs

The Salmon Arts Council sponsors a variety of recurring and community oriented programs throughout the year. More details for some of our big events are listed on the 2008 Season pages. This is how 2008 is shaping up:

· Lura: Friday, April 11, 2008, 8:00 pm Salmon Valley Center. FREE Children’s performance 3pm. Amazing World Music Artist. More info on 2008 Season pages.

· Anthony Kearns: Monday, April 28, 2008, 7:30pm, Salmon Valley Center. A voice like none other. More info on 2008 Season pages.

· Student Art Show: Friday, April 18 through Saturday, May 17, 2008, Salmon Valley Center. Enjoy the show during weekday business hours. Free to the public! Your votes count for prizes given to artists. Show our kids you appreciate their creative artistic talents!

· Sponsor’s Sneak Preview Gala Fundraiser: Saturday, May 16, 2008, Salmon Valley Center. More details TBA.

· Garage Band Blow Out! Friday, June 13, 2008, Our local young musicians perform for the public! Details TBA.

· “River of Words” workshop, June 20-21, 2008, Wild & Scenic Rivers 30 Year Anniversary, details TBA.

· Art in the Park: June 25 and July 23, 2008, 11AM to 2PM at the Sacajawea Interpretive Center. Artist mentors will be featured for a real hands-on arts experience for young children.

· Salmon Valley Art Show: June 27-July 30, 2008, Salmon Valley Center. Enjoy the show during weekday business hours. Free to the public! Your votes count for prizes given to artists.

· Lemhi Piecemakers Annual Quilt Show July 3-5, 2008, Salmon Valley Center during business hours. Come see these beautiful pieces!

· July 4, 2008: The Rough Stock Band concert and dance, details on the Summer 2008 Season page.

· August 2, 2008, Smokin’ On The River of No Return Blues, Brews, and BBQ featuring the Charles Walker Blues Band and Joan Zen, Island Park. More details will be on the Summer 2008 Season page soon.

· August 25, 2008. Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. More details TBA.

· September 13, 2008: Salmon Marathon, New South Fork Bluegrass concert, Island Park. More info coming to the Summer 2008 Season page soon.

· September 22-27, 2008: Missoula Children’s Theatre “The Little Mermaid”, Pioneer School.
