22nd Annual Salmon Valley Art Show

Twenty-three artists put their talents on display for the community to enjoy sharing thirty-seven artworks! Paula Guth took both First and Second People's Choice Awards for her pieces entitled "Blue Blankey"
and "Norma" respectively while Leila Jarvis took third People's Choice award for her "Rooster Rumble". Thanks to all for such a beautiful, diversified and colorful display. Congratulatons to the winnrs!

Salmon Valley Photo Show

City Center during business hours 8am-5pm Mon-Fri. Pick up your application forms at the SAC office or download the Application to be printed and handed in with your entries. All entries are due no later than Monday, November 29! Artists must agree to help hang or display their work on Wednesday, December 1, 10am until 4pm
During the voting of “The People’s Choice Awards”, the community chose their favorites throughout the three categories. Ribbons were awarded and the results are as follows. There were six photographers entering 21 pieces in the Professional division with “Once Home” by Howard Carroll taking 1st place, “Eagle in Flight” By Royce Danner taking 2nd and “Oregon Sunset” By Shannon Miner taking 3rd place. The Amateur division had an exceptional turn out with 50 entries by 17 different photographers. The people of Salmon decided that in the Amateur division, “Mom and Dad” by Hope Benedict should have 1st place, “Lizard’s Rest Stop” by Nancy Russell be 2nd and “Weathered” by Annah Dahle ranked 3rd place. There were two student entries and 1st place was won by Carly Knudsen with “Fish Hook” and 2nd place goes to Zachary Miner with his photo “Sunburst.”
Several pieces were sold by photographers during the show and 100% profit was returned to the photographers. Some additional comments made by the voting public included, “Good display once again”, “Hard to make choices, all are so good” and “Wonderful selection!”
